I. Discussion of DCF response to follow-up issues
There are a number of outstanding issues identified in the letter to DCF from previous meetings. The letter from DCF responding to some of these was distributed. See Attached letters.
There was discussion about many of these areas:
Ø It is important to look at payer data when the programs were funded by the strategy board since this will be representative of the larger community need rather than just those kids referred from DCF. Karen Andersson will research what data may be available.
Ø Carry forward of funds remaining in contracts as of 6/30/06 – Need to further discuss this and set parameters for the use of the money if it is approved. There is general agreement in principle that this makes sense. Karen Andersson to follow-up.
Ø There was an issue raised about the consistency of gate-keeping throughout the state. The letter from DCF indicates that referrals from DCF will become one of several sources for referrals, not the only one.
Ø Data collected on IICAPS through CCPA will be presented to DCF leadership team shortly. This data will also be presented to the BHP Oversight Council. Heather Gates will follow-up on these meetings
Ø Meeting will be held at Yale on March 6 and CEO's and CFO's will be invited to participate. Frank Gregory to send out invitation.
Ø Need to develop strategy for tracking fidelity to the model as the funding and system changes take place.
II. Voluntary Service Presentation
There was a brief discussion about the presentation by DCF at the last meeting. No follow-up at this time.
V. Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place at CCPA, 35 Cold Springs Road, Suite 522, Rocky Hill, Ct. 06067 on Wednesday, March 1 from 9:30 – 11.
