Meeting Summary: July 28, 2006
Chair: Dr. Davis Gammon Vice-Chair – Paula Armbruster
Next meeting: Friday August 25@ 11:30 – 1:30 PM at VOI/CTBHP, Rocky Hill
Consumer Satisfaction Survey
Subcommittee participant recommendations about survey items and the Fact Finders (VOI's subcontractor that will do the survey) pilot survey with members led to changes that were reviewed at this meeting. Further revisions that clarified and shortened the survey were made. The consumer satisfaction survey will be completed via member phone contact beginning in September 2006.
Outpatient (OP) Registration
• There are 5 required fields besides member demographics that must be completed for new and current clients. Inputting information for existing clients can begin August 1. New patient 26 session outpatient service authorization will be effective September 1.
• Training forums for providers will be held during July & August. Check www.CTBHP.com for training dates.
• By October/November registration information may include some of the initial non-required fields.
• Redundancy in data reporting to other agencies as well as BHP emphasizes the need for DSS, DCF & DMHAS to work among themselves and with the Subcommittee to identify opportunities to streamline some components of agency-specific reporting. It would be helpful to have substantive work on this done started by early 2007.
VOI Clinical Studies
The proposed clinical studies (see below) were distributed to the SC prior to the July 28th meeting upon receipt from VOI. Both studies are exploratory in nature and what is learned from the studies could then inform future clinical studies.
Preliminary suggestions:
• The adult clinical study concept proposal is appropriate. VOI will provide further details.
• The child clinical study proposal will be further discussed in August: the concept is one of the HSRI indicators. Questions raised included:
o Should the study target “engagement” of child/family in treatment (i.e. more than one post hospital visit),
o Should the child clinical study address co-morbidities, documentation and outcome of care coordination between ASO & MCO.
