VO Update
ü Provider satisfaction survey was started in August and member satisfaction survey will soon begin.
ü Web based outpatient registration will be mandatory beginning September 1, 2006. The registration will lead to authorization for 26 outpatient sessions. Security access/user IDs have been given providers upon their request. Subcommittee discussed security issues and other registration form technical details. Providers commented that the process for getting to the registration screens was not straightforward and that the committee had not considered this issue – only the screens themselves. An interim process is in place until the issues are fully resolved. Provider trainings were held in August and several more will be scheduled in September. In September discussion on registration form fields, linking data to other data in the program.
ü Several technical billing issues were discussed: clinics have been discussing these with VO. Examples included whether clinics with multiple sites needed to authorize services for one client at both sites when the client would receive services at both sites; prior authorization versus web-based registration for home-based services, etc.
ü Quality clinical studies were reviewed in light of suggestions made at the last subcommittee meeting. (see description presented to the Operations SC on 9/8 below)
Above were suggested as additions to consider when looking at the data. It was thought the data could support and inform these areas in ways that had not been identified earlier.
Baseline data associated with the clinical studies will be reviewed at the September meeting.
Items for the September 29th Subcommittee were outlined:
• Updates on the registration system/technical issue resolutions, fields
• HSRI report on selected BHP indicators and operationalization of indicator measurement.
• Data on authorization reports and review of re-authorization fields.
