2001 Committee/Commission Minutes

REAPPORTIONMENT COMMISSION   (APPROVED)   MEETING MINUTES   MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2001   4:00 P.M. in Hearing Room 2B   I. The meeting was called to order at 4:10 p.m. by Senator DeLuca.   The following committee members were present:   Senators Kevin B. Sullivan 5; Louis C. DeLuca 32; David J. Cappiello 24; Joseph J. Crisco, Jr. 17   Representatives: Moira K. Lyons 146; Robert M. Ward 86; Melody A. Currey 10; Arthur J. O’Neill 69   II. Designate Co-chairs   A motion was made by Representative Currey and seconded by Representative Ward to nominate Speaker Moira K. Lyons and Senator Louis C. DeLuca as co-chairs of the Reapportionment Commission. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote of the commission.   III. Records and Staff   A motion was made by Senator Crisco and seconded by Senator Cappiello to designate the same Legislative Management staff to work on the Reapportionment Commission that worked for the Reapportionment Committee. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote of the commission.   IV. Selection of Ninth Member   A motion was made by Senator Sullivan and seconded by Representative Ward to appoint Nelson Brown as the ninth member of the Reapportionment Commission. The commission approved the motion by a unanimous voice vote.    Senator DeLuca adjourned the meeting at 4:15 p.m.   ____________________________ Sandra Forte’
