Art. III., Sec. 5 of the Connecticut Constitution

(Cod. Conn. Const. Art. III., Sec. 5, as amended.) (Congressional and general assembly districts to be consistent with federal standards.) Sec. 5. The establishment of congressional districts and of districts in the general assembly shall be consistent with federal constitutional standards. Historical Note: This section, as printed here, incorporates Article XVI., Sec. 1 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the State of Connecticut. Said Article XVI., Sec. 1 was adopted on November 26, 1980, and required that congressional districts be established in a manner consistent with federal constitutional standards.
