Planned Improvements
- Continue to update hearing rooms for improved accessibility.

- Redesign and reconfigure two bathrooms on the first floor of the Legislative Office Building as accessible family bathrooms.
- Repair and replace the outside walkway between the Legislative Office Building and the Capitol.
- Upgrade the west entrance of the Capitol to enhance accessibility.

Completed Improvements
- Installed a new ATM in the Legislative Office Building to comply with ADA requirements. (2026)
- Improved ramp access around Capitol Complex. (2026)
- Added additional signage to improve safety throughout the Capitol Complex. (2026)
- Installed automatic door openers for restrooms. (2025)
- Updated drinking fountains to bottle filling stations at an accessible height. (2025)
- Replaced signs indicating accessible parking using the International Symbol of Disability, as adopted by CT legislation with Public Act No. 16-78. (2024)
- Reconfigured intercom callboxes to ADA acceptable height. (2024)
- Repaired and replaced sidewalks around the Capitol Complex for improved accessibility. (2024)
- Added van accessible parking spaces outside of the Legislative Office Building. (2024)
